Asociación VANA
About Us
Who Are We ?
Asociación VANA is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that organises trainings, events and awareness-raising campaigns for the community to enable individuals to lead a healthy life.
The main mission of the organisation is to create and promote a culture of healthy living in society. It aims to improve the quality of life of individuals by raising awareness on issues such as healthy nutrition, regular sports and mental health.
The organisation encourages people to make informed choices about health through projects initiated with the support of volunteers and the participation of local communities. It also contributes to the development of healthier individuals throughout the society by facilitating access to accurate information through information activities on healthy living.

How We Work?
Although Asociación VANA is a new NGO founded in Madrid in 2024, it has the experience and passion of a team of volunteers who have been active since 2023. The main goal of the organisation is to raise awareness of healthy living, especially among young people, and to strengthen public awareness on issues such as sports, healthy eating and mental health. The background of our organisation is based on a series of activities initiated in 2023 by young volunteers who wanted to adopt healthy living habits and instill them in those around them.
This volunteer group was first shaped by regular meetings of young individuals interested in sports and healthy living. In these weekly meetings, team members carried out different physical activities such as running, cycling, yoga and team sports. The aim was not only to improve their physical health, but also to experience and share the positive effects of sport and regular physical activity on mental health. In addition to sports activities, the group exchanged information on healthy eating and suggested new recipes, diet plans and nutrition strategies to each other. During the workshops held during these meetings, in-depth discussions were held on the importance of a balanced diet, sustainable eating habits and nutrition programmes suitable for various health goals. Volunteers also visited local markets and organic food producers to learn about healthy food sources.
As the team came together, they realised that they not only wanted to improve their own health, but also to instill this awareness in their communities. With this awareness, they started to organise community events. At first, they organised sports days, nutrition awareness seminars and mental health workshops at the local level, especially for young people. Through these events, they raised awareness in the local community about the importance of healthy living, while offering young participants the opportunity to directly experience how exercising, eating healthy and taking care of mental health can improve quality of life.
With the official establishment of the Asociación VANA, these voluntary activities were given a more professional framework. Currently, youth-centred projects are being developed, many of which aim to promote healthy living habits. Sports activities, healthy nutrition training and mental health awareness campaigns are organised especially for young people in disadvantaged areas. These activities aim to strengthen both the physical and mental health of young people and encourage them to spread this awareness in their communities.
Asociación VANA wants to expand its experience in this field by establishing international partnerships within the Erasmus+ programme and to share knowledge with other young people in Europe. Although it is a new organisation, the experience and high motivation of this team of volunteers offers a significant potential to raise awareness of young people about healthy living and reach a wider audience. Through Erasmus+ projects, the association wants to increase its impact by enabling young people to learn more about healthy living both locally and internationally and to spread this knowledge in their own environment.
