The KA153 Erasmus project The Pink Project: Youth for Breast Cancer was created to raise awareness about breast cancer and to encourage young people to take an active role in this important cause. Throughout the project, we not only increased our own awareness but also took steps to educate our communities.
During expert-led workshops, we learned about the importance of early diagnosis, healthy lifestyle habits, and available support mechanisms related to breast cancer. We shared this knowledge with wider audiences through campaigns, social media initiatives, and public awareness activities.
As participants from different countries, we exchanged cultural experiences while developing empathy, leadership, and effective communication skills. By coming together, we discussed what young people can do to promote community health and carried out tangible awareness actions.
The Pink Project: Youth for Breast Cancer demonstrated how strong youth can be as role models in public health. Through this project, we learned that spreading breast cancer awareness is not only a social responsibility but also a meaningful mark young people can leave on the future.
