The Pink Project: Youth for Breast Cancer is being implemented under the Erasmus+ KA153 Mobility of Youth Workers action with the project reference number 2025-1-ES02-KA153-YOU-000298103. Coordinated by Asociación VANA, the project is taking place in Madrid, Spain, from 15 to 21 October 2025. The opening activities focused on helping participants get to know each other and creating a positive and collaborative learning environment. Through interactive exercises centered on awareness, solidarity, support, and healthy living, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas about breast cancer awareness while learning from the experiences and perspectives of youth workers from different countries. These activities helped establish a strong sense of teamwork and mutual understanding that will support the project throughout the mobility.

A significant part of the programme was dedicated to introducing the Erasmus+ programme and the opportunities it offers for young people and youth workers. Through group work, discussions, research tasks, and presentations, participants explored various aspects of international youth cooperation and learned more about mobility projects, partnerships, and non-formal learning opportunities. These sessions enhanced participants’ knowledge of Erasmus+ while also strengthening their communication, teamwork, research, and presentation skills.

The programme also included activities focused on Youthpass and the recognition of learning outcomes gained through non-formal education. Participants explored the key competences promoted through Erasmus+ projects and reflected on their own personal and professional development. Through individual and group activities, they gained a deeper understanding of how learning experiences can contribute to future educational and career opportunities while developing greater self-awareness regarding their own skills and competences.

Intercultural activities further enriched the experience by encouraging participants to share elements of their cultures, traditions, and daily lives. These exchanges fostered mutual respect, cultural understanding, and stronger connections among participants from different countries. As a result, the project not only contributes to raising awareness about breast cancer but also supports the development of long-term international partnerships and stronger cooperation within the European youth work community.
