With the KA153 Erasmus project The Pink Project: Youth for Breast Cancer, we set out on a meaningful journey to support breast cancer awareness and to empower young people to take part in public health initiatives. Throughout the project, we discovered how strong youth voices can be when it comes to spreading awareness and encouraging others to take action.
During our activities and trainings, we learned about early diagnosis, self-examination techniques, and the emotional challenges faced by those affected by breast cancer. These sessions helped us better understand the importance of supporting not only physical health but also mental and emotional well-being.
We developed campaigns, created informative materials, and organized awareness-raising events to reach our communities. With creativity and teamwork, we used digital tools and social media platforms to make our message more visible:
“Awareness starts with us.”
Collaborating with participants from different countries enabled us to build international friendships and exchange ideas that strengthened the impact of our work. We gained valuable skills such as leadership, communication, and advocacy — skills we will carry into our future projects and careers.
Through the Pink Project, we learned that even small steps can lead to significant change. By raising awareness and encouraging early detection, we took an active role in protecting lives and shaping a healthier future. Together, we proved that youth involvement truly matters.
